While I have always loved photography…I would have to say that my wife inspired me to become a photographer and now a teacher. She certainly supported me as a photographer, and teacher but when I decided to purchase the Chicago Photography Classes 10 years ago, she has been a vital component in creating a school that now teaches over 1,500 students the art of photography every year!
My photography spans across various styles, from captivating landscapes to macro and architectural photography. I am passionate about capturing the beauty of the world around me and am always exploring new perspectives and techniques to further hone my skills. Alongside my professional work, I also enjoy photographing my family of four children and an amazing wife, who have all been a source of inspiration and support throughout my journey.
My love for photography traces back to my high school years, when I first experimented with film photography. In 2011, I transitioned to digital photography with the guidance of Richard Stromberg and Chicago Photography Classes, where I continue to grow my knowledge and hone my craft.
I feel the best way to critique images and hone the art of photography is through printing. Working with correct ICC profiles and calibrated monitors is essential.
I have printed with Epson Professional Printers for over 12 years. Benro tripods have supported my cameras for many years and fully trust them with my investment and utilize them in ways that surprise my students!
Family aside, I am proud to have helped create the photography community at Chicago Photography Classes. With now thousands being part of the community the number of students that have said how much the school has changed (and even saved) their lives. You can’t beat that!
