What inspired you to become a photographer/videographer?

As a small boy, I often witnessed my dad spending long hours in our bathroom converted into a darkroom on weekends. There was something magical about creating printed portraits.

What is your photography style?

I like to describe my photography as clean, vibrant, and timeless. I love natural and true colors while combining proper posing and, most importantly, people’s emotions.

How did you get to where you are now?

I am for sure less talented than some most amazing photographers. However, because of my weaker talents, I ended up working a lot harder than many other photographers. Through my hard work developing my craftsmanship and business knowledge, I have been able to run a rather successful photography business.

Why is color management important to your workflow?

Color management is critical for my workflow! As I mentioned before, I love true and clean colors, and without proper color management, this is impossible to achieve.

What are your favorite brands you have worked with?

Besides Calibirte and X-Rite I love working with products from Canon, Westcott, Tether Tools, BenQ, Capture One, Tenba, and Savage. When it comes to paper, I most often use Moab paper. My other two favorite paper brands are Hahnemuhle and Canson.

What would you say is your greatest achievement to this day?

Even though I have been professionally photographing for over 16 years, I quit my previous daytime job 5 years ago. I used to be a Delivery Management Director and one of the biggest consulting firms.

My biggest achievement has been that I became a full-time photographer, and I am able to provide a good living for my family.

What is an interesting fact about yourself?

I played tennis for many years and had an incredible opportunity to play for a few months in the UK on grass courts, where I won one of the tournaments. That same summer, I had the honor to meet Mr. Rubik, yes, the inventor of the Rubik’s cube:)

What is a top tip for people who aspire to do what you do?

Learn proper craftsmanship but don’t be discouraged by other extremely successful or talented photographers. As you master your craftsmanship work on the business side. Running your photography business properly becomes fast more important than the actual photography.
